The boy in the white armor

29/03/2019

A concert for children and families

Ten sounding miniatures are the center of this half scenic concert for children and families. The audience goes on an exciting journey from the young prince's childhood full of vicissitudes in the custody of his mother Eleonor over his courtly education as "the last knight" to his first appearance on the stage of international politics.

After a concept of intendant Johannes Reitmeier, the renowned Tyrolean composer Hermann Pallhuber composes his "child's scenes" for the town band Wilten based on a libretto of Mareike Zimmermann. The famous body of sound is supported by students of the Tyrolean State Conservatory and the children's choir of the Tiroler Landestheater.

Especially young listeners will be delighted by the powerful composition and learn lots of interesting information about the young archduke Maximilian and his era.
