Maximilian's Zeughaus in Innsbruck.

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death day of Maximilian I, the museum Zeughaus itself is focus of its activities. The arsenal was built by Maximilian at the beginning of the 16th century in secure distance to the city and the residence. It was not only the storage place for the imperial army's Zeug (German for "stuff") including their famous canons but was also the center of a huge arms industry. The exhibition focuses on the history of the house and its surroundings until today that has been closely examined on the occasion of the Year of Maximilian.
